Raw oysters

At the recommendation of some friends, we headed up north of Point Reyes the other day in search of the Tomales Bay oyster farms. After a nice drive up the Pacific Coast Highway, we finally found the Hog Island Oyster Farm, where we stopped for a late lunch.

The farm offers a variety of oysters, fresh out of the bay, and will set you up with shuckers, lemons and hot sauce. We brought some beer and enjoyed the afternoon sunshine in their picnic area, right on the Tomales Bay.

Oysters, beer and sunshine — ingredients for a pretty near perfect afternoon.
