Dogs at Crissy Field in San Francisco

Milo, following his first Pacific swim

My dog Milo arrived from North Carolina (with my dad in tow) on Friday, making the past few days quite the adventure. Milo’s on sensory overload as he adapts to his new city-dog status, but we filled the weekend with activities anyway – a long walk down to the beach for his first dip in the Pacific Ocean, a trip up to the Hog Island Oyster Farm (following last week’s failed attempt) for oysters and picnicking on the Tomales Bay, and a visit to the Sonoma Valley for quick stops at Rochioli and Ridge (cause what the hell – we’re in California).

Through our adventures and explorations, one thing is becoming all the more clear – it is really tough to find a bad meal here.
