Channeling the Season

Given how sunny and spring-like things have been around here lately, it’s difficult not to channel the season (even on the days that are decidedly neither sunny nor spring-like). I found this blazer on mega-sale around the corner and couldn’t resist – it seemed like just the thing for warm-ish days, or to combat the San Francisco fog on less-than-warm days. Let’s hope the fog monster keeps it in check for a bit.

What to Pack: Weekend in Charleston

I haven’t been back to the East Coast since we moved west in December, so I’m happy to say that I’ll be heading to Charleston, S.C., this weekend to celebrate the impending wedding of one of my nearest and dearest. The wedding isn’t til May, but a pre-nuptial ladies’ weekend is in order and I’m pumped for some beach time, Chucktown bar-hopping and QT with the bride-to-be. There’s little I love more (or know better) than the Carolina shore in April, so packing for this trip will be a breeze. Going in my bag: several shades of blue, loose knits, summerweight scarves and crisp whites.

Easter Unconventional

Though I most certainly dig Easter dresses and all their flowy pastel goodness, I went in a bit of a different direction for brunch this past Sunday. I’ll admit this romper is kind of an odd choice, but something about the combo of bell sleeves and bohemian daisies seemed particularly appropriate for Easter in San Francisco. And as I’ve expressed time and time again, I’m a sucker for all things mint.

Joshua Tree

JoshuaTree_WebBook_8I’m not that into reposting lookbooks here super often but HOLY MOLY. Revolve dropped this beauty the other day and I have to say, while I’m normally pretty averse to vacations that don’t involve the sea, I somehow found myself immediately mentally planning my next desert getaway. And all the denim/pastel/textured awesomeness I’d like to pack in my desert-bound suitcase.

Stella & Dot Picks

My friend Victoria and I are partnering up to give away a very awesome Stella & Dot goody (handpicked by yours truly) on this here blog next week, and in the course of selecting said goody, I spent way more time than should have been necessary perusing the spring collection. There are so many lovely baubles reminiscent of globetrotting and seaside locales – two of my favorite things – so as you can imagine, picking just one item for y’all was awfully difficult. Anyway, I figured I’d share some of the pieces I’m lusting after at the moment – can you handle the awesomeness?
